Canto Huichol Sculpture

There's something instantly endearing about this bird. Hand-carved from wood and worn smooth, its back is dressed in glass chaquira Huichol motifs pressed bead by bead into beeswax, each tiny dot of color set by hand. It asks for nothing but a quiet spot on a shelf, desk, or bookcase to brighten the room. Because each is made by hand, every bird carries its own pattern and its own sweet, singular charm.
