Description

A small wooden bird, hand-carved and perched on delicate wire feet, carrying a mosaic of glass beads across its back. In the Huichol tradition, each bead is pressed into place to form sacred geometry diamonds, blossoms, and light patterns born from what the artisans see in nature. Against the smooth, untouched wood, the chaquira catches the light and shifts with every angle. Made bead by bead, by hand, each one is truly one of a kind.

  • Small: about 2.4 × 2 in
  • Large: about 2.8 × 2.4 in

Each is one of a kind — the model letter marks the exact bird shown.

Product Dimensions

Care Guide

Most important: keep away from direct sunlight and heat. The beadwork is set with natural Campeche wax, which softens with heat and can loosen the beads.
- Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth or brush.
- Keep away from humidity to protect the colors.
- Avoid water and cleaning products.
- Handle with care; a delicate, one-of-a-kind handmade piece.
