Description

In Wixárika (Huichol) belief, kupuri is the life force, the shimmering thread of energy that connects every living being to the sacred. Kupuri of the Sea gives that idea form as a whale, the gentle giant that carries the soul and memory of the ocean.

Hand-carved from wood and covered in glass chaquira beads pressed in wax, then mounted on a slender metal base, each whale seems to glide mid-air like a small offering to the sea. Because every bead is placed by hand, no two are ever alike, a luminous, one-of-a-kind piece for a shelf, desk, or gallery wall.

Care Guide

Most important: keep away from direct sunlight and heat. The beadwork is set with natural Campeche wax, which softens with heat and can loosen the beads.
- Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth or brush.
- Keep away from humidity to protect the colors.
- Avoid water and cleaning products.
- Handle with care; a delicate, one-of-a-kind handmade piece.
