Altos Table Set

High in the mountains of Chiapas, women artisans still weave on the telar de cintura the backstrap loom their grandmothers used, tied at the waist and worked by hand. Each piece pairs soft, natural cotton with a bold band of hand-brocaded pattern a quiet ivory ground that lets the color and geometry sing. Made for two, designed to grow: each set brings two placemats and two napkins, and pairs beautifully with more to seat four, six, or eight. Entirely handmade, so every set is one of a kind.

Wash separately in cold water (gentle cycle or by hand) with mild detergent, no bleach. Dyes may bleed at first — wash with like colors. Dry flat or in shade; iron on medium while damp. Irregularities are part of its handwoven character.

Lava por separado en agua fría (a mano o ciclo suave), con detergente neutro y sin cloro. Los tintes pueden soltar al inicio; lava con colores similares. Seca a la sombra; plancha a media temperatura aún húmedo. Son parte de su carácter artesanal.
